Wing-back worry, GK uncertainty, midfield strength - Leeds United squad depth assessed after…

Leeds United operated a one in, one out policy to their first-team squad during the January transfer window. Daniel Farke waved goodbye to out-of-favour Jack Harrison while welcoming Facundo Buonanotte into his set up on loan from Brighton, filling an obvious gap at right-wing/No.10.

Elland Road chiefs went for another striker, lodging an offer worth almost £40million for Jorgen Strand Larsen, but lost out to Crystal Palace while doubts over the goalkeeper situation did not force the club into a move. Farke also suggested cover at left wing-back could arrive if an opportunity presented itself, but it seems nothing did.

Leeds now have 14 games to secure their Premier League survival and a squad set in stone to achieve that goal. Below, the YEP takes a look at how each position is looking in terms of first-choice options and cover.
