What transfer business did Aston Villa and Wolves do?

Aston Villa’s main signing last month was Tammy Abraham from Besiktas. He was brought in to bolster their attacking department. The ex-Chelsea man will compete with Ollie Watkins for a place in Emery’s starting XI over the coming months.

After his return to Villa Park, Abraham said: "It still doesn't feel real. Since this first time I arrived here, I fell in love with the club. Ever since I left this club, I've pretty much watched every game, so I've been keeping track.

"I feel like I left here as a boy and I'm definitely coming back as a man. I'd like to bring my experience to help the team as much as possible and achieve something with this club. I've played against most of the boys here, and I know a few of them also, so they've helped me settle in quickly. I just can't wait to get out there on the pitch with them and make more memories.”

Aston Villa also brought in young winger Alysson from Gremio as one for the future. In terms of outgoings, Donyell Malen left for Roma. Summer signing Evann Guessand was loaned out to Crystal Palace.

As for Wolves, they snapped up Adam Armstrong and Angel Gomes to bolster their ranks. They also sold Jorgen Strand Larsen to Crystal Palace, whilst Fer Lopez went back to Celta Vigo. Marshall Munetsi, Ki-Jana Hoever and Tawanda Chirewa were also shipped out on temporary deals.
