Everton signed Tyrique George on transfer deadline day, following the injury to Jack Grealish.
All the talk was dominated by Dwight McNeil after Crystal Palace pulled out of a deal to sign him right at the end of the window.

In a way, the signing of George sort of went a bit under the radar in the end.
He signed after the 7pm deadline, with Everton needing a deal sheet to finalise the move.
Thankfully the move did get done, and Everton fans are now excited to see what George – who is on loan – can offer.
It is a big opportunity for him having not played so much at Chelsea, and former Everton defender Alan Stubbs has now given his verdict on the winger.
Deadline day is now done… what’s your thoughts, Toffees? 😬

Alan Stubbs thinks Tyrique George has an attribute Everton have been ‘crying out for’
Everton have loaned George in, and have an option to buy him at the end of the season.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
It is thought that the buy option will be determined by how much George plays for Everton – so in theory the more he features, the bigger the clause will be.
For now though, George has to force his way into the team, although with David Moyes not having many options, he should get ample opportunities.

For Alan Stubbs, the move by Everton is very positive.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Tyrique George is talented. We probably haven’t seen a huge amount of him. But when he has played, you’ve seen glimpses of real quality.
“One thing Everton are crying out for is real pace. He obviously ticks that box.
“I think we’re still looking at a player that potentially is showing a huge amount of ability but hasn’t done it on a regular basis. Coming to Everton, it might be the platform for him.
“It’s hard to nail a place down at Chelsea with the 179 players they have registered on the books.”
George could be a huge hit for Everton
Everton have indeed been crying out for pace in the wide areas this season.
Grealish isn’t known for his pace and neither is Tyler Dibling or Dwight McNeil. Iliman Ndiaye is also not the quickest, although he does move swiftly with the ball at his feet.
Let us know what your advice to Tyrique George would be after signing for Everton… 🤔

George is now comfortably Everton’s fastest winger, and his directness and unpredictability could see him become a real favourite at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
George is not so dissimilar to former Everton hero Richarlison in terms of his physical profile. The Brazilian was adored during his time at the club, and the youngster may well follow the same path if he can express himself, work hard and score and assist goals.
