Burnley remain one place off the bottom of the table and 11 points from safety.
“We need to get back to work and reboot,” he told he club website. “We’ve fallen short sometimes this season on quality - but tonight we were miles off the pace and that’s unacceptable.
“It’s a tough place we find ourselves in. No doubt it’s tough for the players too. There’ll be fingers pointed at us all and that’s fair.”
Parker criticised his side’s lack of goalscoring threat as their winless run in the Premier League moved to 15 games.

The Clarets failed to register a shot on target and Parker admitted his side were passive and lacked intent against a team who were also promoted last season.
“We were nowhere near it,” he added. “We fell way short with the core basics. We were never in the game in any aspect. We never gave ourselves any chance.
“It’s hugely disappointing. We were very passive. We had plenty of possession but lacked intent.
“We’ve had some positive results lately against good sides - but we were way off it tonight.

“We need to reboot. That’s easy for us to say but we’re running out of time.
“We sit where we sit for a reason but in these moments of adversity, we need to re-group and come back stronger.”
He added: “We lacked intent in every phase of the game.
“I didn’t see a team with any real purpose, belief or commitment - and that really disappoints me. They’re traits I stand by so it hurts me.
“We’ve had a couple of performances like this so far this season - it hurts and it’s concerning.”

Burnley brought in one new signing in the January window but James Ward-Prowse remained on the bench for Monday night’s encounter.
“January is a tough window,” said Parker
“We wanted players in - but there’s loads of variables that didn’t allow us to add more than one player.
“I didn’t want to just bring players in for the sake of it.
“We bought James in, but he’s only trained twice, so tonight wasn’t the right time to give him his debut.
“We are where we are with the squad. But that’s not the reason for tonight’s performance. We let ourselves and the supporters down this evening with our display.”
