Reliable club insider ExWHUemployee has shared further insight into a deadline day West Ham deal which saw one player depart the London Stadium for good.
The Hammers wrapped up a chaotic January transfer window that saw them splash serious cash whilst simultaneously hemorrhaging talent in all directions.

West Ham landed striker Taty Castellanos, Pablo Felipe and winger Adama Traoré to bolster their relegation battle, sitting six points from safety after a nightmare first half of the campaign.
But they also waved goodbye to Lucas Paquetá in a £36.5 million move to Flamengo, whilst James Ward-Prowse and midfielder Guido Rodriguez headed out the door as well.
Nuno Espírito Santo also desperately needed defensive reinforcement after Jean-Clair Todibo picked up a three-match suspension following his red card against Chelsea.
That sparked West Ham's frantic pursuit of Axel Disasi throughout deadline day.

Fabrizio Romano says defender has agreed late four-year deal to leave West Ham
He's on the way out.
The 27-year-old French centre-back had been frozen out completely at Chelsea all season, not playing a single minute since his last appearance for Aston Villa back in April 2025.
West Ham agreed a loan deal for Disasi with the player undergoing medical tests on deadline day, and despite his 'late demands' holding up confirmation, the former Monaco star was eventually announced as their last signing of the winter window.
Amidst all of that Disasi drama, West Ham also waved goodbye to versatile teenager Emeka Adiele.
The 18-year-old agreed a four-year deal with FC Utrecht, despite rival interest from European heavyweights like Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, with Adiele swapping England for the Eredivisie.
According to Ex, it appears West Ham did actually try to keep hold of him.
Emeka Adiele rejected new West Ham deal before deadline day exit
The decision to join Utrecht shocked many, given the calibre of the other clubs chasing his signature.
Instead, the talented prospect chose Utrecht and penned a long-term contract with the Dutch club, prioritising regular minutes over the prestige of Serie A or Bundesliga football.
West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo reacts
That wasn't going to come in London either, but as per Ex via his Patreon, West Ham had offered Adiele a new contract to extend his stay in East London, but he rejected their proposal outright.
The youngster clearly believed his pathway to West Ham's first team remained blocked regardless of any contract improvements, opting to take his chances in the Netherlands, where he'd receive immediate senior opportunities.
Adiele comes as another academy talent slipping through West Ham's fingers whilst the first team battles desperately to avoid the drop.
The Rush Green sensation made 79 appearances in total for West Ham's Under-18s and Under-21s combined, bagging 14 goals and 21 assists from the left.
He can play as a left-back but also further forward on the left-wing, which explains his great tally of contributions in the final third.
The England Under-18 international also has six junior caps at that level, starting against the likes of Sweden, Germany and France since making his debut for the young Lions in 2024.
