Manchester United are showing an early interest in a deal to sign RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande this summer, according to Manchester World.
The Red Devils splashed over £200m last summer to bolster their attack with the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, and the plan is to go all-out to revitalise their midfield in the upcoming summer window following a quiet winter with no arrivals or first-team exits.
But the club are also alert to big opportunities in the market in other positions, and it has now emerged that they are keeping a close eye on another exciting forward.
Man Utd Want to Sign Yan Diomande
Yan Diomande
Diomande, who has been described as 'a star in the making', has shone for the Bundesliga side this season following his move from Leganes in the summer, and has attracted the attention of several top clubs across Europe.
United were linked with a winter move for the Ivory Coast international, but Leipzig were demanding a fee of at least €100m (£87m) to even talk to interested clubs, which put them off. However, it's believed a move in the summer could be cheaper, and United are already showing an early interest in securing his signature.
Alejandro Garnacho left the club to join Chelsea in a £40m deal last summer, while Marcus Rashford is expected to depart permanently following a successful loan spell at Barcelona this season, and a new left-winger is wanted to restore balance to the squad's forward options.
The club would also be keen to bring in a new full-back and at least two central midfielders, while other first-team exits could see replacements sought after too.
Diomande has recently admitted publicly that he dreams of a move to Liverpool, which could leave him a big task to win fans over if he moved to Old Trafford.
Diomande Move Perfect for Man Utd

It's expected to be yet another huge summer transfer window for Man Utd, and should the club achieve Champions League qualification then they will need several quality first-team additions to the squad.
In attack they are currently relatively light, but the arrival of Diomande would not only add depth, but also legitimate quality and game-winning ability, and would make the rest of the attackers have to play well to keep their shirt.
Much like Antoine Semenyo in January, the right opportunity will make Man Utd move in the market, and Diomande is clearly a player who falls into that bracket.
