Prior to joining AFC Bournemouth in the summer, Wilson was fighting relegation with her clubs Reading and Plymouth Argyle – but now she is playing her part in a side fighting at the top end of the table.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is loving that change and she has her sights firmly set on a first promotion in her career.

That career saw her play in the WSL with Bristol City as a teenager, before a stint with AaB in Denmark and then returning to the UK.
Reflecting on her start to life at the Cherries, she told the Daily Echo: “I've loved it.
“It's been really nice for me because the past two seasons I've been at clubs where I've been fighting relegation.

“So it's been nice to be at a club where we're winning games and looking for promotion. I always want to win and to be around players that have the same goals as me is really nice, too.”
That early experience in the WSL with City, where she progressed through the youth ranks, exposed her to the top level of the game in England.
The level of the top flight was hammered home by the visit of Manchester City last month in the FA Cup, when the WSL leaders beat their hosts 6-0, although the Cherries played well in that defeat.
But that game proved they could compete.
“I have no doubt that we can play at a high level,” Wilson said.

“We've showed that we can. I know 6-0 sounds like a big scoreline against City, but Man City are beating teams in their league by five or six goals, so I think we can definitely progress to WSL2 and work our way up eventually.
“I think we can definitely do it and I can see the girls, they're all good quality players.”
The Cherries are currently third in the league, two points behind league leaders Watford but with two games in hand over the Hornets and second-placed Plymouth.
Asked what the key will be to earn that promotion, Wilson said: “We just need to keep doing what we're doing.

“Obviously, we're halfway through the season now, but we can't let the pressure get to us.
“We are still unbeaten in the league, so there is a lot of pressure on that, but we just have to not let that pressure get to us and stay as a team and keep working hard.”
On her personal goals for the remainder of the campaign, she said: “I just want to stay fit and be involved in the games as much as I can.
“I've had a few little injuries on the way, nothing major, but yeah, to stay fit and contribute to the team as much as I can and obviously a promotion for me would be massive.
“I've never experienced that at any club, so that'd be amazing.”
