Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray has Leeds United in his sights after missing the last eight games through injury.
Gray hasn't been seen since pulling up with a calf injury early on in Blues' 1-1 draw with Derby County on Boxing Day.
The 29-year-old has been confined to the treatment room for the last five weeks but is now nearing the end of his rehabilitation.
Gray will likely miss out on a reunion with former club Leicester City, with whom he won the Premier League title in 2016, on Saturday and West Bromwich Albion next week might come too soon.
But Gray is hoping to be in contention for a place in Blues' squad when Premier League side Leeds visit St Andrew's for an FA Cup fourth round tie on February 15.
Providing an update on his condition on Blue Rising, Gray said: "I'd say it's been quite a smooth rehab process. I've not really had any setbacks. I'm only a few weeks away. I'm trying to get back for the cup game.
"It's difficult not being able to play but hopefully I'll come back and pick up good momentum again."
