Manchester United could be without three players, but Tottenham could be without 13 names for the game.

Their next game is an interesting one, as they welcome a turbulent Spurs side to Old Trafford. Thomas Frank’s side came off a 2-2 draw against Manchester City, and a slight upturn in form compared to the last couple of months.

However, for Frank, it has been really hard, and coming into their game against United, Tottenham could be without 13 players due to injury concerns. Man United could be without just three players.

Tottenham injury news

Spurs have nine players ruled out of the game on Saturday already, including some big-name midfielders. Firstly, the likes of James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Rodrigo Bentancur remain out for the majority of the rest of the season, dealing with hamstring and knee injuries, respectively.

Mohammed Kudus also remains out, as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury, which is set to keep him out until April. Ben Davies and Lucas Bergvall are both on a similar timeline to Kudus, too, as they are dealing with fairly serious ankle injuries.

Richarlison and Pedro Porro are both ruled out, too, although the duo are expected to make a return later in February, which will be a huge boost to Frank. Defender Kevin Danso is also ruled out after he suffered a hyper-extended big toe against Frankfurt last week. He is set to undergo a medical assessment.

Centre-back duo Micky van de Ven and Christian Romero are both in doubt ahead of the Man United game, but they are expected to be available. Van de Ven is dealing with a minor knock, and Romero was ill over the weekend.

Djed Spence is a doubt too, as he has a minor calf injury, which kept him out of the Man City draw over the weekend. It isn’t clear yet whether he will be available for the weekend against United.

Finally, Dominic Solanke scored a scorpion kick against City, but he struggled with his fitness after being out for an extended period of time with an ankle issue. He is currently being assessed, but is expected to start against United at the weekend.

Tottenham players ruled out: Maddison, Bentancur, Kudus, Davies, Bergvall, Richarlison, Porro, Kulusevski, Danso

Man United injury news

The Red Devils don’t have anywhere near as many injury concerns as Tottenham, as there are just three names on Carrick’s injury list. Firstly, Patrick Dorgu is set to miss a significant amount of time after he suffered a hamstring injury against Arsenal.

Carrick said last week: “We're still working through how long that's going to be. We weren't sure whether it was a little bit of cramp or whether it was something a little bit more serious, and at the moment, it looks a little bit more on the serious note.”

Furthermore, Matthijs De Ligt will also be ruled out for the Spurs game, as he is still recovering from a lower back issue. He’s not back in training, but shouldn’t be too far away from making a return.

Finally, Mason Mount is a doubt ahead of the game. He missed the Fulham win over the weekend, as he’s dealing with a knock that he picked up in training. Carrick said: “He took a bit of a knock in training. It is nothing serious. Obviously, disappointing that he is not with us today, but he will be back with us very, very soon.”
