The Toffees explored a deal to sign Harry Wilson, and Raheem Sterling was even considered after he terminated his contract at Chelsea.
But, David Moyes opted to sign Tyrique George, who has joined on an initial loan which could become permanent in the summer.
With that said, the new Toffees winger has now shared five things that supporters may not know about him.

Tyrique George states his best positions
Speaking to Everton’s Instagram, George explained that he can play in three different positions, amongst other revealing facts about himself.
“I was born in Camden, London. My mum is Ghanaian and my Dad is Nigerian.”
I can play on both feet, either wing, attacking midfield or up front.”
“My favourite players growing up, that I used to watch, were Neymar Jr and Sancho.
“At Chelsea, I played in the Champions League, Conference League and the Club World Cup. I started playing for England since the under-15s all the way to now with the under-21s.
“Away from football, I like to watch movies and spend time with my family.”
Lee Carsley has predicted George to develop into a striker, so perhaps he could provide competition to Thierno Barry, as well as the wingers.

Tyrique George has 14 games to prove himself at Everton
Everton have pulled off a really shrewd bit of business with the George deal.
They’ve negotiated it so that they can try before they buy, and that agreement will keep the teenager motivated, too.
The England under-21 international will be keen to prove himself in these final 14 games of the season to ensure Moyes takes up the option to buy.

A similar approach was done with Carlos Alcaraz this time last year, and the Toffees ended up being convinced to pay his £15m buy-option.
So, the pathway is certainly there for George.
