Fulham and Wolves have been named as new suitors for Brazilian wonderkid Breno Bidon. However, new background reporting shows clear alignment between Brazilian side Corinthians and the player’s camp on delaying any move until the summer at least.
According to ESPN, both Fulham and Wolves are keeping close tabs on the 20-year-old midfielder in recent weeks. The interest, however, has remained at a monitoring stage. No proposal followed, and nothing advanced beyond initial checks.
That lack of progress reflects Corinthians’ current stance. The club have not been impressed by the approaches made so far, which have come mainly from clubs seen as mid-level in the European market.
Inside the club, the view is that selling Bidon without proper planning could prove costly, both on the pitch and financially. There is no rush to negotiate, and the expectation is that stronger proposals will arrive later.
January approach runs into career plan
The same thinking explains why talks with Turkish side Fenerbahçe also went nowhere. ESPN claim that during the final days of the January window, Fenerbahçe contacted Bidon’s representatives to explore a possible deal. The Turkish club tried to open talks, but the approach stalled quickly.
Corinthians and the player’s entourage pointed to a defined career plan, which ruled out a winter exit and prioritised a transfer only after the European season ends.
‘Big Six’ links remain part of Breno Bidon background

That stance holds despite Bidon being strongly linked in recent months with some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs. Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have all featured in reports around the midfielder.
Chelsea were the only side reported to have tested the waters with an offer. Arsenal and United limited their involvement to enquiries and information-gathering.
But for now, Bidon remains fully focused on his football in Brazil. His priority is to perform well over the next six months and keep his options open.
Fulham and Wolves understand the situation. Like the bigger clubs before them, they look set to wait unless the plan changes.
