Leeds United fresh injury blow revealed ahead of crunch Nottingham Forest and Chelsea games

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has been speaking ahead of Friday's Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest.

Leeds United have had mixed news from the treatment room at Thorp Arch this week ahead of the game against Nottingham Forest.

The Reds visit Elland Road for a Friday night Premier League clash under the lights and Daniel Farke's squad has been boosted by the return of two players to training this week. Both Jaka Bijol and James Justin are back involved and in likely contention for involvement, though the length of time Bijol has been out means Leeds must wait before declaring him fully available.

Bijol's hamstring issue has kept him out of the last three Premier League games, necessitating starts at centre-back for Sebastiaan Bornauw and Justin, who picked up a toe injury at the weekend. Lukas Nmecha missed the defeat by Arsenal with a hamstring niggle that he felt during the warm-up at Everton and remains out, however.

"We have some mixed news in personnel terms," said Farke. "Jaka Bijol back in team training today. Good news. We have to wait on how his body reacts. James Justin had just a bruise and is back in team training. Daniel James is making progress. Lukas Nmecha not in team training yet, it's probably unlikely he will be back for this game but not too far away."

But Leeds have suffered a new blow with an issue that will impact Farke's midfield for the crunch relegation clash with Forest and also Tuesday's difficult trip to Chelsea.

"Anton Stach is struggling with some hip problems after the last game day and likely to miss the game and Friday and the Chelsea game," said the manager. "Not good news with him, he's an important player for us. It's probably a situation of being out for 10 to 14 days. Pretty likely he'll miss the game on Friday."
