Potential sickener for Marco Silva over two summer transfer deals Everton could do - opinion

Everton are set for a big summer after having a quiet January – and two potential deals may leave Marco Silva upset.

David Moyes will now look to push Everton on in the second half of the season, with European football still a possibility.

Tyrique George came in on transfer deadline day, and it is hoped that he will prove to be a good replacement for Jack Grealish, who could be out for the season with his injury.

Hopefully Everton will finish well and have some kind of European football to show for their efforts.

That would go some way to attracting better talent to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the transfer market.

One player Everton may look to try and sign in the summer is Harry Wilson, who currently stands to become a free agent.

Let us know what your advice to Tyrique George would be after signing for Everton… 🤔

The potential double Everton deal that could leave Marco Silva upset

Everton made an enquiry to sign Wilson at the end of the January window.

Ultimately though, the Wales international stayed put – and Fulham are now trying to extend his contract.

But there’s a very real possibility that he leaves. He’s in his prime, has been at Fulham for a few years now, and could bag himself a very big signing-on fee if he changes clubs this summer.

Everton may move for him, and that would surely upset Silva, who is a big fan of the winger.

It is not out of the question that Everton could have Wilson and George as their starting wingers in 2026/27.

Obviously, Everton will have the option to buy George in the summer, although currently it’s unclear how much the clause is worth.

There has been a claim that George’s buy option will be determined by how much he plays.

George making a permanent move to Everton is another deal that may sicken Silva, because Fulham saw a move for George fall through at the eleventh hour on deadline day last summer.

Tyrique George and Harry Wilson would be a fantastic wide pair

There are lots of ifs, buts and maybes at the moment, but the idea of Everton having George and Wilson as their starting wingers next season is exciting.

George is a player who’s all about pace, one-vs-one dribbling and unpredictability.

Then you’ve got Wilson, a brilliant technician and playmaker, capable of creating and scoring. He also has the eye for the spectacular, and can change games in an instant.

Silva clearly hoped to have the pair on his wings at Fulham, so the notion of them both lining up in the blue of Everton is bound to have him feeling a bit uncomfortable.
