Alejandro Garnacho left Manchester United in acrimonious fashion last summer, but things are not going completely to plan for the now Chelsea man, whose side lost to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semis

Alejandro Garnacho has been mocked by Manchester United supporters after the Chelsea star's recent verbal swipe at the Reds backfired.
The 21-year-old departed United for the Blues in a £40million switch last summer, but has found it difficult to settle at Stamford Bridge. He had been placed in United's 'bomb squad' following his criticism of former Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim in the aftermath of last season's Europa League final.
When Garnacho finally secured his desired transfer to Chelsea, few United fans were disappointed to see him leave. On Wednesday evening, the Argentina international was hoping to assist his new side in overturning an aggregate deficit against Arsenal in their Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg clash.
Prior to kick-off, Garnacho pointed to United's recent triumph at the Emirates as proof Chelsea could triumph 'perfectly'. He said: "Everyone knows how hard it is to play there.
"When we lost the first game, I saw a lot of people saying, 'Yeah, but no one won yet at the Emirates'. But now I think the view is a little bit different. If, for example, Manchester United can beat them there, we can do it perfectly."
Chelsea didn't even manage to draw the second leg, as a late goal from Kai Havertz sealed a 4-2 win for Arsenal on aggregate. On social media, United fans quickly took the opportunity to bash Garnacho.
In the aftermath of their loss, one United fan laughed: "How did that work out for you?" before another said: "Didn't age well."

Another wrote: "Who does he think he is?" before a fourth said: "Interesting comment to make when you've just lost to them at home a couple of weeks earlier. That's Garnacho for you."
Garnacho's form at Stamford Bridge can be generously described as patchy. He has six goals and three assists in all competitions, with two of his strikes coming in the Blues' first-leg loss to Arsenal.

In Chelsea's 3-2 home victory over West Ham, he was hooked at half time by Blues head coach Liam Rosenior, who then watched his side come from 2-0 down to win the game in dramatic fashion.
The South American's former team-mates host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford this weekend. Michael Carrick's side are eying a fourth consecutive Premier League victory, after beating Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham in impressive fashion.
Carrick's second interim spell at the club has begun perfectly. His 100% record so far has lifted the Reds into fourth position, one place and one point ahead of Garnacho's new team.
After Tottenham, Carrick's side travel to east London to face West Ham United, before another away clash against Everton on February 23.
