Mixed injury news for Leeds boss with key man set to miss two games

LEEDS UNITED boss Daniel Farke has reported mixed injury news ahead of Friday night’s Premier League home game against Nottingham Forest, with midfielder Anton Stach set to miss the club’s next two matches.

The German has been suffering with a hip injury and is likely to miss the Forest game and the trip to Chelsea next Tuesday.

Better news has seen defender Jaka Bijol return to training after missing the last three games with a hamstring issue.

James Justin, who came off at half-time in last weekend’s loss to Arsenal, is fine, while the Forest match is expected to be soon for Lukas Nmecha, who is not yet back in tram training.

Farke said: “In general, we have some mixed news. And in personal terms, some definitely good news. Jaka Bijol was back in team training today.

"We have to wait right now how his body reacts, but that's definitely positive for us. Also, James Justin is back in team training. Thank God, it was just a bruise and not a broken toe.

“He's also available for the weekend. It’s definitely good news. Also, Daniel James is making progress.

“Lukas Nmecha is not in team training yet. We have two more days.

"It's probably unlikely that he will make it for this game. But he's also not too far away. We'll see.

"The only negative news is that Anton Stach is struggling with some hip problems after the last game day. And it looks that he's likely to miss the game on Friday and also the Chelsea game. So, it’s definitely not good news with him.

"Because he's obviously an important player for us. So it looks like he will miss the game on Friday and also the Chelsea game. It's probably a situation of being out for 10 to 14 days.

"At least that's what the doctor says at the moment. So it's pretty likely that he will miss the game on Friday.”
