Manchester United fans have mocked Alejandro Garnacho again after his dig at his former club backfired spectacularly in Chelsea's loss to Arsenal. The 21-year-old winger, who transferred from United to the Blues for £40million last summer, has endured a miserable start at Stamford Bridge.
Garnacho was relegated to United's 'bomb squad' after he took a swipe at former Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim following the Europa League final last season. Not many United fans were upset when Garnacho finally got his wish and moved to Chelsea.
On Wednesday, the Argentinian international was hoping to help his new team overturn a deficit against Arsenal in their Carabao Cup semi-final.

Prior to the match, Garnacho pointed to United's recent victory at the Emirates as proof that Chelsea could also triumph 'perfectly'.
"Everyone knows how hard it is to play there," Garnacho told club media. "When we lost the first game, I saw a lot of people saying, 'Yeah, but no one won yet at the Emirates'.
"But now I think the view is a little bit different. If, for example, Manchester United can beat them there, we can do it perfectly."
However, Chelsea didn't even manage to secure a draw in the second leg, with a late goal from Kai Havertz ensuring a 4-2 aggregate win for Arsenal.

Fans on social media were quick to mock Garnacho after his inflated ego got the better of him again. "How did that work out for you?" a United fan cheekily quipped. "Didn't age well," another chimed in. "Who does he think he is?" a third added.
One supporter suggested that Garnacho's comment was typical of his character, remarking: "Interesting comment to make when you've just lost to them at home a couple of weeks earlier. That's Garnacho for you. "

Chelsea are set to face bottom-of-the-league Wolves this Saturday, and manager Liam Rosenior saw 'encouraging signs' from their performance at the Emirates, despite the defeat. "The spirit, the togetherness, the fight in the team was there," Rosenior summarised.
"Now I need to see what we look like after a setback. We need to react positively. We have a difficult game away in Wolves on Saturday and I need to see what our reaction is to that.".
