AC Milan are planning on ‘cashing in’ on Alex Jimenez this summer, with his loan at Bournemouth likely to be made permanent.
That’s according to Calciomercato. The website covers the full-back today and the fee Milan are likely to receive for him.
According to their information, Bournemouth are very pleased with the right-back’s performances and are very likely to sign him permanently.
Jimenez arrived on loan from AC Milan last summer. That deal includes an option to buy, which becomes mandatory after starting 50% of the available games.
But the Cherries are reportedly considering signing him permanently early, without waiting for the mandatory purchase conditions to be met.
AC Milan would be happy for that as it would let them ‘cash in’ on the defender. He cost €5m in 2023 but he will go to Bournemouth for €19.5m plus €5.3m in bonuses. 50% of the proceeds will go to his former club Real Madrid, though.
That’s not seemingly an issue as the Italian giants will pocket a big profit on the defender either way. The decision to loan him to Bournemouth is certainly paying off.
The Cherries certainly seem happy and ready to spend the money required to get him permanently. And AC Milan are more than happy with that.
