Manchester City will be without Bernardo Silva for their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg tonight.
The Blues welcome Newcastle to the Etihad holding a 2-0 lead from the first leg and are heavy favourites to set up a final with Arsenal at Wembley next month.
But they will have to do so without their skipper, who has been ruled out with an injury. The 31-year-old started the weekend draw with Tottenham in the Premier League but was replaced late on having seemingly signalled to the bench that he had picked up an issue.

In his absence, Tijjani Reijnders, Nico O'Reilly and Nico Gonzalez will form the midfield trio with Rodri among the subs. Rayan Cherki, who also picked up a knock at Spurs, is fit enough for the bench with Erling Haaland also a replacement as Omar Marmoush leads the attack.
City will hope the issue for Silva isn't too serious given they are already without a clutch of first team players. Ruben Dias, John Stones, Josko Gvardiol, Savinho, Matteo Kovacic and Jeremy Doku are all currently sidelined.
City travel to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday before welcoming Fulham to the Etihad next week as the relentless schedule continues.
