5 Premier League Stars Out INJURED For the Season

Football can be a cruel game. Injuries are part and parcel of the sport – and sometimes, they can render players out of action for a significant amount of time.

Today, we’ll be looking at five top players in the Premier League who will be on the sidelines until the end of the 2025/26 season.

We’ll be looking at players from clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea – let’s see who was unlucky enough to land a spot on the list.

James Maddison

This one immediately springs to mind. James Maddison is one of Tottenham’s best players, but he has been absent for the entirety of the season with an ACL injury.

He picked up his injury in pre-season, just a couple of months after he won Spurs’ first ever Europa League trophy – he hasn’t played in a competitive capacity since.

He has been a great miss for the Lilywhites – without him in the team, they currently find themselves 14th in the Premier League table.

Conor Bradley

Conor Bradley’s injury brought an element of controversy with it – moments after sustaining his season-ending ACL injury, he was unsympathetically pushed off the field by Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli.

The Liverpool academy graduate had been one of the Reds’ most consistent defenders before his injury, making the blow even more difficult to stomach.

Liverpool have another key player who is out with a major injury in Alexander Isak – however, he was ineligible for inclusion as reports suggest that he might be fit to play again in March. Bradley, on the other hand, will definitely miss out on the reminder of the campaign.

Fabio Carvalho

Fabio Carvalho picked up an ACL injury during midweek training with Brentford back in November – after he went under the knife, he was effectively ruled out until the start of the 2026/27 season.

A tricky, technically-sound attacking midfielder, the Bees have missed out on his creativity – nevertheless, they have been performing well in his absence this season.

Brentford have been one of the Premier League’s biggest surprise packages in 2025/26 – who knows who far they could have gone with a fully-fit Carvalho in the squad?

Levi Colwill

Just after winning the Club World Cup with Chelsea, during a campaign which saw them defeat PSG by a score of 3-0 in the final, Levi Colwill suffered an ACL injury that ruled him out for the whole of the 2025/26 season.

It was a severe injury – there are doubts as to whether he will even be fit to play at the start of next season, let alone the current one.

This has been a major blow for Chelsea, who had begun to rely on him to hold their backline together – with that being said, they have one of the strongest backlines in the Premier League this season in terms of goals conceded.

Jack Grealish

The most recent addition to our list, Jack Grealish has been ruled out for the rest of the season after he underwent surgery on his foot.

The injury that necessitated the surgery was believed to be a stress fracture – a relatively minor problem compared to some of the others in this list, but also one that can ruin a career if left unchecked.

Grealish’s absence has hurt Everton – he had been their best creative outlet prior to his injury. Currently, the Toffees are 10th in the Premier League table.
