Leeds United ended the January transfer window without adding to their squad on deadline day, leaving Facundo Buonanotte’s loan arrival from Brighton as their only piece of winter business.
The club had been keen to strengthen in attack but chose not to be drawn into a bidding war for top target Jorgen Strand Larsen, who instead joined Crystal Palace in a deal that could reach £48m.

It emerged that Leeds were not actively exploring deals on deadline day despite getting linked with moves for strikers and attacking midfielders on Monday.
However, the Whites may still approve outgoing transfers even after the window has closed across much of Europe, with summer signing Lucas Perri potentially facing a surprise departure.
A transfer away from Leeds for Lucas Perri would embarrass the 49ers
Lucas Perri has not played since Leeds’ 4-3 defeat against Newcastle United. His performance at St. James’ Park was not impressive, and Daniel Farke decided to drop him from the team.
Leeds have not been impressed by what they have seen of him since the Brazilian goalkeeper joined the club last summer, and the club are likely to be in the market for a new goalkeeper again at the end of the season.

Perri has been linked with a shock move away from Leeds this week. Besiktas have identified him as one of their goalkeeping targets.
The Turkish transfer window closes on Friday, and Besiktas are looking to bring in a new goalkeeper before then. Perri is a name they like at the moment.
Illan Meslier has also been linked with a move to Besiktas as the Turkish giants push to sign one of the two Leeds goalkeepers before Friday’s deadline.
Perri’s early departure would be a major face loss for Leeds
Leeds signed Perri last summer as the long-term number one goalkeeper and was seen as an upgrade on both Meslier and Karl Darlow this season.
However, he has never looked comfortable and is far too inconsistent to be a number one goalkeeper at a Premier League club.
Besiktas’ reported interest has come at a weird time for Leeds, but they cannot afford to sanction his sale. For starters, Darlow has not entirely convinced between the sticks, and Perri has every chance to return to the team.
However, more importantly, selling Perri this week would be an acceptance that Leeds made a huge error in the summer by signing the Brazilian.
It would be a major embarrassment for the 49ers and the Leeds recruitment team if they allowed Perri to leave before the transfer window in Turkey closes on Friday.
The Whites are likely to persist with the Brazilian until the end of the season before taking a call on signing a new goalkeeper in the summer.
