Leeds United and Arsenal are among the clubs to have Borussia Dortmund’s Daniel Svensson on their radar.
That’s according to Bild, who cover Leeds United and Arsenal interest and BVB’s stance on the left-back.
The Bundesliga side initially signed the left-back on loan from Nordsjælland in February 2025.
His performances in the second half of last season had caught the attention of Premier League clubs. The Swedish media had reported on Nottingham Forest’s interest, but a move never took shape as BVB made Svensson’s stay permanent.
Leeds United and Arsenal have now emerged as the Sweden international’s suitors, likely for the summer.
Bild mention this in a report on how Nico Schlotterbeck’s contract situation can impact other defenders at Signal Iduna Park. The 26-year-old centre-back has a contract until 2027.
The Bundesliga side want to offer the German defender an extension worth €14m per year. The report says the ‘chances of him staying are 50/50’. Should he leave, other BVB defenders could also change clubs after this season.
Svensson is included in this list and Bild make it clear it’s their own information on Daniel Farke’s side, Arsenal and Inter Milan.

The 23-year-old fullback has played 30 matches in all competitions this season. Bild say he’s established himself and ‘significantly improved’ under Niko Kovač’s orders. This has seen him attract interest from elsewhere.
According to the newspaper, ‘Leeds United in particular’ are keen and have the fullback on their agenda. Mikel Arteta’s side and Inter Milan are also showing interest in him.
Svensson has a contract until 2029 and Transfermarkt currently values him at €22m. Bild claim Borussia Dortmund would need a fee of around €30m. As things stands, the report adds there’s a 30% chance he’ll leave in the summer.
