Jesse Lingard is being eyed up for a potential shock transfer this month, which would allow him to reunite with a former Manchester United star.
The England international has been out of contract since January 2026, having left FC Seoul following a two-year spell in South Korea. Lingard made 67 appearances while at the club, scoring 19 times and assisting teammates on a further 10 occasions.
Although he's now 33-years-old, Lingard still has plenty of years left in the tank before he hangs up his boots and retires from the game. And a move back to Europe could be on the cards.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, several clubs in England, Italy and Holland have presented potential offers to Lingard, who can sign for any team outside the transfer window as a free agent. West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers, two Premier League teams who are hoping to avoid relegation this season, were options for the former United star.
Genoa have also examined the feasability of a potential deal, but the attacking midfielder might yet be on the move to the Eredivisie. Feyenoord are reportedly keen on signing him, which would allow him to reunite with former Red Devil, Robin van Persie.
The Dutchman was appointed back in February 2025 and went on a nine-game unbeaten run at the start of the current season, but results and performances have dropped in recent months. In December 2025, after being knocked out of the KNVB Cup by Heerenveen, Van Persie confronted furious fans inside the stadium before giving an emotional post-match interview.
He remains under pressure following poor results against league leaders PSV Eindhoven and Real Betis in the Europa League, a result which eliminated them from the competition. Signing Lingard, who he trained with before leaving United in 2014, could add some more quality to a team who presently lie second in the league table, 17 points behind PSV.

Although many supporters have called on Van Persie to step down from his position, he remains defiant under pressure. Following the loss to PSV, he insisted that he remains the right man for the job, stating that he was determined to turn the club's form around.
He was backed up by club captain Timon Wellenreuther, who said: "We're not a top team right now. We've had a lot of injuries and still have them, but that's no excuse now. You saw that PSV is a top team; we really need to do much better.
"It was really our fault against PSV. We, the players on the pitch, failed. The coach had a great plan, but you can't see that if you don't win a single duel, don't follow your man, and don't execute what the coach says. The real problem was on the pitch itself. If we as players don't fight hard enough, it's not the coach's fault."
