Senne Lammens says'unbelievable'star is the most underrated at Man United

Senne Lammens has been a sensation for Manchester United since joining in the summer and it seems he is now settled down at Old Trafford.

Ineos took a gamble in the summer by choosing to sign Senne Lammens for £18m over established options such as Emiliano Martinez or Gianluigi Donnarumma.

But Lammens has been a huge transfer success for Ineos, with the 23-year-old making an instant impact once he was introduced to the starting XI.

Is Senne Lammens actually Manchester United’s best signing of the season?

Senne Lammens names most underrated Man United star

In terms of players being underrated at United, Senne Lammens probably ranks quite highly. He arrived as an unfamiliar name and has immediately proven he can cut it in the Premier League.

But when Lammens was asked who his most underrated player is, he told PlaySportsBelgium that he has been surprised by Amad Diallo.

He also mentioned that captain Bruno Fernandes does the ‘craziest things’ in training out of any player.

Amad is enjoying a very strong season at United. His two goals and three assists this campaign does not truly reflect his importance to the side.

Under Ruben Amorim, Amad was a ‘perfect’ wing-back and he played that role well. Now under Michael Carrick, he has been pushed forward into a more advanced winger role and is thriving.

‘Unbelievable’ Amad Diallo deserves more credit

Lammens is right, Amad is underrated at United, but he is starting to be recognised as one of the more important players in the squad.

As per Goal, former United star Louis Saha called Amad ‘unbelievable’, and the Ivory Coast international is showing no signs of slowing down.

United struggled over the AFCON period without Bryan Mbeumo and Amad, yet since the duo have returned the Red Devils have been flying.

Carrick has found how to play with Mbeumo and Amad, with the former playing as a central striker in his 4-2-3-1 system.

More goals will come for Amad if he continues to play as he is. At 23 years old, he is still young but there are promising signs that he can fulfil his exciting potential.

The right wing spot has been a problem position for United in the past, but with Amad and Mbeumo as options it has been transformed into one of the biggest strengths.
