Leeds United already appear to have one eye on the summer transfer window amid links with Borussia Dortmund defender Daniel Svensson.
Svensson was on Leeds’ radar last year but ultimately joined Dortmund, whom he has now made 51 appearances for in all competitions.
The Sweden international is believed to have cost Dortmund around £6.5million, and it is fair to say they are already getting their value for money.
However, Svensson could be on the move once again in the summer if reports circulating in Germany are anything to go by.
Leeds and Arsenal credited with interest in Daniel Svensson
Svensson is as versatile a player as they come, which is no doubt why a number of clubs are showing a keen interest.
MORE LEEDS STORIES
The 23-year-old has played 29 times for Dortmund in all competitions this season in a variety of positions, including left-back, left wing-back and even central midfield.
Given Daniel Farke has now switched to a five-man defence, it seems Svensson is now high on Leeds‘ list of targets.
According to a report on Thursday from German outlet Bild, Leeds are now “particularly keen” on former target Svensson.
Arsenal are also credited with an interest, with the Premier League looking like it could be his next destination.
The report adds that Svensson has improved his game since arriving at Dortmund and clubs are sitting up and taking notice.
Leeds winter transfers
It is claimed that a fee of £26m would tempt Dortmund into cashing in on Svensson, so Farke’s men already know what will be required to get the deal over the line.
