And he would love that to be against Crystal Palace.
The Seagulls have one win in 11 league games as they prepare to face their old rivals, who are also out of sorts.
Fans and players alike have been left deflated by results and late goals conceded in two recent games, against Fulham and Everton.
But head coach Hurzeler said: “We have a really good group of characters, of personalities, and they are frustrated, disappointed.
“But I think it doesn't take for so long that they are back on a chip of being positive, a chip of looking forward to the next game, because in the end we can't change the past.
“The past is done now, we have to focus on the next opportunity, on the next game, and therefore we have great characters, great personalities in our team.
“They are honest to each other, they hold each other accountable.
“They can see the situations in the right way, they have the right perspective on these kinds of things.
“The main thing is they work hard, they show the right effort in the training, they show the right reactions, and we're all quite convinced that in the end, if we keep working hard, if we keep sticking to our things, we will get the rewards for that.”
Albion have yet to beat Crystal Palace under Hurzeler and he would love to change that.
He added: “We try to win this game for our fans, for our supporters.
“We know the meaning of the game, we know that it's a big game for the club and for everyone, and therefore we see it as a big opportunity to bounce back, to stop this negative run, and therefore we're really looking forward to it.”
