Jhon Duran is closing in on his THIRD move in just over a year with the former Aston Villa forward on his way to join Russian Premier League side Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Duran, 22, spent two years at Villa after signing from Chicago Fire for £18million in January 2023. During his time at Villa Park, the Colombian scored 20 goals in 78 appearances and helped the Villains reach the Conference League semi-final and qualify for the Champions League in his first full season.
But, following increased speculation around his future, Duran left Villa in January 2025 to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr in a deal worth £64m. Despite netting 12 times in 18 matches, the 2003-born frontman lasted less than six months in Riyadh, as he sealed a loan move to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce last July.
Duran's time at Fenerbahce has been less than impressive, however, with the ex-Villa striker finding the net just five times in 21 games during the first half of the season. And now, it has been reported that his loan at the Turkish club - which was due to run until the end of the season - is set to be terminated to allow him to sign for a new club.
According to Foot Mercato, Duran is 'currently on his way' to join Russian side Zenit. It's added that he is on a flight bound for Saint Petersburg Airport to put the finishing touches on a loan until the summer.

Duran, who is contracted to Al-Nassr until June 2030, is due to spend the rest of the season in Russia as Zenit look to win the league title for the seventh time in eight years.
Sergei Semak's side sit second in the Russian Premier League after winning 11 and drawing six of their 18 matches so far. They are one place and one point behind leaders and the 2024/25 champions FC Krasnodar.
Zenit, who haven't played a competitive fixture since beating Akron Tolyatti in December due to the winter break, are next in action when they face Krasnodar in a mid-season friendly on Friday.
Duran, who had been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, Leeds United, Everton and Tottenham in the January transfer window, is set to play his first league game for Zenit when they return against Baltika at the end of February. They have 12 more Russian top-flight matches to go before the end of the campaign.
