The winter transfer window has only just closed, but already attention has turned to what could happen at Nottingham Forest in the summer.

The Reds added Lorenzo Lucca, Stefan Ortega and Luca Netz to Sean Dyche’s squad for the second half of the season. Arnaud Kalimuendo, Douglas Luiz Luiz and Oleksandr Zinchenko headed in the opposite direction, with the latter two having their loans cut short.

Forest were in the driving seat when it came to keeping the core of their squad together in January. But some of their key players are expected to be the subject of interest when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.

Midfielder Elliot Anderson and defender Murillo both have plenty of admirers elsewhere. According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United could launch a double raid for the Reds pair in the summer.

United have been credited with an interest in Anderson for some time and it has now been claimed he features “prominently” on the club’s wish list. Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have also been linked with him, while Newcastle United would love to have the England international back following his 2024 departure from St James’ Park.

TEAMtalk have reported United could pursue both Anderson and Murillo in the summer. It is said the latter’s situation is being continuously monitored by the Old Trafford outfit.

However, as in the case of Anderson, they are far from the only ones eyeing up the Brazilian. The “most high-profile interest” in Murillo this summer is expected to come from within the Premier League, with Chelsea tipped to push for his signature.

However, it is claimed the defender is “becoming open” to possibly testing himself on the continent. Real Madrid are said to be keen, but there are “doubts” over whether they would be prepared to meet Forest’s significant price tag for Murillo.

The 23-year-old penned a new deal at the City Ground little more than 12 months ago, keeping him tied to the club until 2029. He joined the Reds from Corinthians for £11 million in the summer of 2023 and has established himself as a key player since then.
