Alexander-Arnold and Mendy rejoin Real Madrid squad in training

Real Madrid defenders Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ferland Mendy rejoined the squad in training this Thursday and completed the entire session with the group, according to the club’s official website. They will be available to face Valencia when Real Madrid visit Mestalla in what’s expected to be a crucial game for Los Blancos on Sunday.

Neither Alexander-Arnold nor Mendy should be expected to feature in the starting lineup, however. They’ve missed a significant amount of time with their injuries and will need to gradually improve their form and conditioning before they are ready to start.

On the other hand, Rüdiger and Carvajal couldn’t train with the group and appear to be still a few weeks away from making their return to the team’s starting lineup. Carvajal was included in the last few squad lists but it looks like he isn’t ready to play just yet.
