Sam Allardyce says he’s ‘really upset’ after what David Moyes has now done at Everton

Everton need to get a grip of their Premier League form if they are going to make a European push.

David Moyes will be frustrated as anyone in knowing what a few more wins over the last two months could have done to the league standings.

Ahead of their game this weekend against Fulham, Everton are sitting just six points off fifth-placed Chelsea.

Moyes has set the target of European qualification at Everton this season and it remains firmly in sight.

Everton remain well within the mix to make a push in the remaining months of the season, but improvements will have to be made.

Is David Moyes doing enough at Everton to earn himself a new contract? 🫣

If not, who would you like to see replace him? 😬

Even former Everton boss Sam Allardyce has noticed something change about Moyes that he does not particularly enjoy seeing.

The 71-year-old has been out of the game for nearly three years and he’s noticed a lot of things change.

Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, Allardyce has expressed his disappointment in Moyes moving away from wearing suits on the sideline now.

“Even Moyesy has got rid of his suits,” he said.

“Now, that’s really upset me, Moyesy, because you’re the you’re the man to keep the tradition. I mean, ‘I’m the manager of Everton, not the coach, the manager, give me a suit’.”

A lot has changed in the Premier League over the years and the 62-year-old is well aware of that after Moyes was booked for celebrating at the weekend against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Perhaps if Moyes was still wearing a suit on the touchline he may not have been able to celebrate so freely as he did at the Amex Stadium.

Moyes will want to see a change in Everton’s form

Everton have only taken one win from their six games since the turn of the year.

Putting the FA Cup defeat to Sunderland aside, Everton have taken a mere six points from a possible 15 in the Premier League.

For a club that is wanting to achieve European qualification, that simply will not suffice.

Everton have signed Tyrique George to bolster their attacking options in what appears to be a positive move from the club.

Whether or not enough was done over the winter window remains to be seen, though.
