Manchester United's Premier League showdown with title hopefuls Aston Villa has been rescheduled due to their Europa League involvement.
United will now host Unai Emery's side on Sunday March, 15 at 2pm after it was initially due to be played 24 hours earlier on the Saturday. Villa's trip to Old Trafford will now be televised on Sky Sports with United hoping to have maintained their formidable run, in order to continue in the driving seat for Champions League qualification, this term.
Michael Carrick's side are unbeaten in three matches after the former midfielder was tasked with replacing Ruben Amorim, who was dismissed at the beginning of January. Since the Portuguese tactician's sacking, United have beaten Manchester City, Arsenal and needed a last-gasp Benjamin Sesko winner to see off Fulham.
The visit from Villa was initially pencilled in for Saturday, March 14 but due to the Midlands club's involvement in the Europa League, as they due to face Crvena Zvezda, Celta Vigo, PAOK or Lille in the next stage of the competition.
The ties in the playoffs are set to be decided this month before the round of 16 gets underway in March.
It now means that United's next seven games will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom, with the run kicking off this Saturday when Tottenham Hotspur visit Old Trafford for a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday.
They then face back-to-back away trips against West Ham United (February 10, 8.15pm) and Everton (February 23, 8pm) before encounters with Crystal Palace and Newcastle United before the international break.
Villa's visit to the Theatre of Dreams is the first match after the enforced break for the World Cup qualifiers and friendlies on March 14 then United make the trip to Bournemouth, six days later for a Friday night showdown with the Cherries.
