Running the show: Bruno Fernandes
Patrick Dorgu, Matthijs de Ligt and Mason Mount remain sidelined through injury as Michael Carrick bids to field a side that can deliver his fourth win on the bounce.
Carrick is expected to make few changes to the side which beat Fulham last time out, in the hope of extending their lead over Chelsea, bridging the five-point gap with Aston Villa.
Mount had been expected to return in time for the fixture against Tottenham after he injured himself in training last week, but Carrick described him as “not too far away.”
Senne Lammens remains Man United’s first-choice goalkeeper, though he may not have the cleanest of sheets; he maintains a stable presence at the back since he made his debut in October.
The back four will likely remain intact, despite Harry Maguire conceding a penalty last week which set up a frantic finish.

Casemiro, who headed home Fernandes’ corner for United last time out, will likely pair up with the Carrick-preferred Kobbie Mainoo in the centre-midfield.
Elsewhere skipper Bruno Fernandes continues to prove himself as the axis of Man United, having registered more assists than any other Premier League player so far this season, and will be supported on his right by Amad Diallo.
Matheus Cunha will most likely be drawn in to replace Dorgu again, having proven himself to be a valuable reserve on the left flank after scoring in successive games to give United the lead.
With Benjamin Sesko coming off the bench and scoring the last-minute winner against Fulham, the Slovenian could find himself bumped up the pecking order.
However, Bryan Mbeumo feels nailed on to start again, despite a goalless performance against the Cottagers.
Predicted Liverpool XI (4-2-3-1): Lammens; Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Mainoo; Diallo, Fernandes, Cunha; Mbeumo
