Player to arrive at 7am tomorrow for Wolves exit – All go for out-of-window deal

Emmanuel Agbadou is due to arrive in Istanbul at 7am to complete his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Beşiktaş.

That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu. His information indicates that Agbadou will arrive in Istanbul tomorrow to complete his move from Wolves.

He then adds that Beşiktaş and Wolves have reached an agreement for the defender. The deal for him will now be worth €18m plus €2m. The defender will also sign a four-and-a-half-year deal contract with the Turkish club.

The deal is now seemingly in the final stages and should bring an end to one of the more drawn-out sagas of the January transfer window.

Beşiktaş have been chasing the centre-back for a while and appeared to have struck a deal with Wolves midway through January. The defender’s agent even travelled to Istanbul for talks, with Turkish reporters spotting him at the airport. That was a clear sign that all was going well.

The deal has been dragged out for weeks since, although a report on the 2nd indicated that it was close to being finalised, with the agent flying back to Istanbul. Then Vitor Pereira even got involved, endorsing his former Wolves man.

The deal has now entered its final stages. Agbadou is due to fly to Türkiye tomorrow ahead of their own transfer deadline.

As is traditional, especially when transfers drag out like this one has, the flight arrival time is shared so fas can go to the airport. However, 7am may be a little early, even for Beşiktaş fans.
