Caretaker Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick will hope to continue his impressive start when his side host Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The former England midfielder has overseen wins against Manchester City, Liverpool, and Fulham since being named as the Red Devils’ head coach last month, on a temporary basis until the end of the current campaign.
After hugely impressive displays against City and Arsenal, United relied on a last minute winner from striker Benjamin Sesko to secure all three points against the Cottagers last time out.
United didn’t make a single signing during the recent January transfer window, but equally didn’t sell any first team players.
This summer could therefore be a busy one at Old Trafford, and it is now emerging that United are eyeing a move to sign a Bundesliga star.
As per TEAMtalk, Manchester United have identified RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande as their top transfer target ahead of this summer’s window.

The report claims that the Manchester outfit are intent on adding a left-sided winger to their ranks at the end of the season, and Ivory Coast international Diomande has emerged at the top of their wishlist.
Diomande, 19, joined Leipzig from Spanish side Leganes over the summer and has enjoyed an impressive start to his career in Germany, scoring eight goals and registering six assists in 21 matches for Leipzig across all competitions so far.
This impressive displays have alerted Manchester United, but Diomande himself has previously revealed that he dreams of playing for United’s fierce rivals, Liverpool.
The Reds are also known admirers of the Ivorian, who is capable of playing on either flank and could add useful attacking output to either Liverpool or United’s squads.
The winger is currently contracted to Leipzig until the end of the 2029/30 season, having signed a long-term deal with the Bundesliga outfit when he joined the club last summer.
