Newcastle United injury news: The latest impacting Eddie Howe and Keith Andrews’ squads ahead of their meeting at St James’ Park in the Premier League.
The Magpies were knocked-out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night in another match that they had to play without Bruno Guimaraes. The Magpies left the Etihad Stadium not only out of the cup, but also with major worries over the fitness of Anthony Gordon after he picked up an injury during the first-half.
The Bees, meanwhile, picked up a very impressive win at Villa Park at the weekend and know they have the ability to beat Newcastle United having comfortably triumphed 3-1 in the reverse fixture back in November. Keith Andrews, though, will be without one of his key players through suspension this weekend.
Here, we take a look at the latest injury and suspension news from both camps ahead of Newcastle United’s Premier League clash with Brentford.

The former Liverpool man won’t feature against Newcastle United as he remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Dasilva is reportedly just a few weeks away from returning to action after a knee injury. That return won’t come against Newcastle United, though.

Emil Krafth - out
Krafth will not feature against Brentford as he continues to be sidelined by a knee injury.
Tino Livramento - out
Livramento suffered a hamstring injury last month and Howe revealed last week that the defender would be out for another five or six weeks, with a return date in March expected to the England international.

Joelinton has been ruled out of action for the foreseeable future with a groin injury. Howe confirmed that the Brazilian would be out for ‘weeks rather than months’. He won’t feature against Brentford.
Lewis Miley - doubt
Miley was an unused substitute at Anfield at the weekend and wasn’t even named in Wednesday night’s matchday squad. He is a doubt to feature this weekend.
Bruno Guimaraes - doubt
Guimaraes continues to be sidelined by an ankle injury he picked up against PSV Eindhoven last week. Howe has been coy about an exact return date for the Brazilian and revealed earlier this week that there is a chance he could be fit to face the Bees.
Anthony Gordon - doubt
Gordon suffered a suspected hamstring injury at the Etihad Stadium, with Howe admitting after that the winger’s injury ‘didn’t look good’. He is a major doubt to play against the Bees with an update from the Magpies head coach expected on Friday morning.
