'I can tell you': David Moyes breaks his silence with Crystal Palace dig amid Dwight McNeil…

Dwight McNeil’s failed move from Everton to Crystal Palace was the major talking point from Monday’s deadline day.

Everton were able to do some business of their own by bringing in Tyrique George from Chelsea on an initial loan.

However, the dramatic nature of McNeil’s failed move to the capital shocked many on Monday evening.

It is believed that Crystal Palace are apologetic to McNeil after how events panned out following his medical.

With a deal agreed between the two clubs, McNeil faced an awkward return to Merseyside for the remainder of the term.

What are you now expecting from Dwight McNeil for the remainder of the season? 😫

“Dwight’s fine. He’s in and training. So, Dwight’s okay, he understands where it went wrong and how it broke down,” he said.

“I can tell you 100% it had nothing to do with Everton Football Club, that’s for sure.”

Idrissa Gana Gueye has backed McNeil to bounce back from the disappointment as he has now returned to Finch Farm.

Whether you are a fan of McNeil or not, the way the deal fell through was clearly a huge frustration for everyone on the Everton side of the table.

What Crystal Palace have said about the failed McNeil transfer

There is a lot of mudslinging between Everton and Palace behind the scenes over this failed transfer.

Moyes was keen to make sure that Everton’s name was not included in any of the blame over the failed transfer, though.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner has also commented on the failed deal, as he shared his sympathy towards McNeil.

“Yes, we all are disappointed that this deal didn’t happen,” Glanser told Sky Sports.

“I can understand him and his family are disappointed. But believe me, I had the same feeling, because I really have a huge appreciation for him.”

Glasner was seemingly all for bringing McNeil in at Selhurst Park, with the blame clearly being pointed towards Palace’s board.
