Former Hammer Scott Parker is coming under increasing scrutiny at Burnley, who host West Ham on Saturday, having overseen a run of 15 league games without a win.
And the ex-midfielder's cause won't be helped by the fact that The Clarets will be missing up to SIX players when the two teams meet at Turf Moor tomorrow afternoon.
Zeki Amdouni (cruciate ligament), Jordan Beyer (hamstring), Connor Roberts (Achilles), Mike Tresor (ankle) plus former Hammers Josh Cullen (ACL) and James Ward-Prowse (ineligible) are all currently considered to be out of contention.
Meanwhile West Ham are expected to miss just Jean-Clair Todibo (suspension), who is sitting out the first of three matches following his dismissal for violent conduct at Stamford Bridge last weekend).
Speaking ahead of this weekend's huge six-pointer, Parker admitted that time was running out for his Burnley team who current sit 19th in the table with just 15 points from the 24 matches played so far.
"Every game is massive for us and we have no luxury now of whoever we're playing," he said. "We need to try and pick up points, whoever they are, however big they are. Whether they're winning the league or wherever they are in the table, we need to pick up points.
"Every game becomes bigger now than it was for us. That's the way it is for us now, that's the cold, hard facts."
And Parker admitted that Monday night's 3-0 defeat at Sunderland was a huge blow for the squad to process. It was a big opportunity and we felt that,” Parker stated.
“I certainly did in terms of the next couple of games and that’s what was so puzzling really and confusing for me. Obviously I’m speaking with some raw emotion here, but the puzzling and confusing thing is we had a big opportunity.
"I get it. At home, they [Sunderland] have been an absolute colossus, they’ve not lost, so we knew what we were coming into. It's a tough, tough game, but we never even gave ourselves a foothold or a chance to lay a glove really."
