'I want to achieve things': Iliman Ndiaye tells Everton fans what he really thinks of links to…

Iliman Ndiaye is unsurprisingly attracting interest from elsewhere as a result of his consistently excellent performances at Everton.

The Everton No.10 is seeing his stock rise across the football world, even more so after winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.

Manchester United want to sign Ndiaye as he becomes a talismanic figure at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with reports saying those at Old Trafford think he can make the step up like Bryan Mbeumo has.

Now – during an interview with The Times – Manchester United have learned what Iliman Ndiaye thinks about these links to Old Trafford.

Iliman Ndiaye commits himself to Everton amid Manchester United talk

The 25-year-old chose to reiterate his commitment to Everton when asked for his thoughts on a potential move to Old Trafford.

Ndiaye said: “I see it. I’m not that type of person to just go on X or Instagram because I’m a chill person. I’m calm. Football can take you anywhere. If, like you said, there’s these teams that are interested, it means that you’re doing something good.

“As long as I’m at Everton, I’ll always give my best for them, and I want to achieve things with Everton, starting with this season and getting into Europe.”

The Friedkin Group were in a strong position even before Ndiaye shared these positive comments, as the man born in Rouen is under contract at Everton until July 2029.

Everton could get a larger fee than £75m Romelu Lukaku sale for Iliman Ndiaye

In our view, the Senegal international is talented enough to one day become Everton’s record sale.

Still only 25, Ndiaye has plenty of room to improve on his already outstanding level of ability, and his stock will rise even higher if Everton manage to qualify for Europe this season.

Jack Grealish – who Everton are still paying – famously earned a £100m move to Manchester City at the age of 25 after a 2020/21 season in which he scored six goals and provided 12 assists in 26 Premier League appearances.

There is no reason why Ndiaye cannot put up similar numbers next season, and with inflation causing the likes of Jorgen Strand Larsen to cost £48m right now, Everton could quite easily fetch over £75m if he did embark on such a campaign.
