Man Utd vs Tottenham prediction has Peter Crouch making powerful point about ‘big’ role one attacker could play

Peter Crouch has dropped his eye-opening Premier League prediction involving former side Tottenham against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Tottenham have struggled to turn around their Premier League form under Thomas Frank after former Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou was sacked last summer.

Thomas Frank, who left Brentford at the end of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign, now faces major uncertainty around his long-term future at Tottenham.

Tottenham languish in 14th place and Spurs have not won once in their last five Premier League matches ahead of visiting Old Trafford at the weekend.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are fourth in the Premier League table and the fourth-place Red Devils have won their last three matches under Michael Carrick.

The under-pressure Tottenham boss has played down injury concerns around Solanke, with Peter Crouch talking up the importance of the 28-year-old striker.

“It’s big for Spurs to have Solanke back, but I’m not sure if he’s injured for this game,” Crouch said on ‘That Peter Crouch Podcast.’

“Regardless of whether Solanke is in or not… if he’s in, it makes it a lot better because I think Tottenham are a better side with someone up top like that.”

Crouch insisted that Manchester United are riding high on the positivity factor under Michael Carrick’s reign compared with Tottenham’s woes under Frank right now.

The 45-year-old former Spurs striker added: “The Tottenham fans haven’t been over the moon with how it’s going at home, have they, let’s be honest?”

“Michael Carrick has got the bounce at the moment and that’s why I think it will be a Manchester United win, personally.”

Man Utd have defeated Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham since January after Carrick made his sensational return to the Premier League club as interim boss.

Crouch believes that United legend Carrick will keep up his momentum and has backed the Red Devils to pick up a fourth consecutive Premier League win.

“I’m going to go with 2-0 to United,” he said.

United and Tottenham’s Premier League showdown is slated for a 12:30pm kick-off time in the UK at Old Trafford.
