David Moyes is currently doing a fine job at Everton.
The Toffees have been in several relegation battles in recent years under Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche, not to mention controversy off the pitch as the Premier League docked Everton ten points for breaching financial rules in November 2023.
So, this season β the first full campaign under David Moyes since 2012/13 β has been a welcome change, with Everton currently stable and sitting within touching distance of European qualification.
However, a manager Everton sacked in Marco Silva is doing even better as Fulham sit one place above the Toffees β and has now attracted the attention of Manchester United.

Manchester United considering former Everton boss Marco Silva
Sportsboom now claim that the man born in Lisbon is under consideration at Old Trafford as Sir Jim Ratcliffe ponders whether to stick with Michael Carrick or hire a fresh face.
Carrick has excelled since replacing Ruben Amorim, recording wins over Manchester City and Arsenal to put Manchester United into the top four.
Sportsboom add that Tottenham are also considering Silva β who Theo Walcott praised earlier this week β as Thomas Frank struggles to assert himself in north London. Spurs currently sit 14th.

Marco Silva may even replace Jose Mourinho
It very much feels like Everton made the right hire at the wrong time when appointing Silva, as his stock is now very high across the football world.
The same report mentions that Benfica even feel the 48-year-old is good enough to replace Jose Mourinho at the end of the season, as there is a chance the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss departs Portugal this summer.

Everton manager David Moyes.
Everton themselves will also have a decision to make on the manager front in the near future, with Moyes already into the final 18 months of his contract at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
It remains to be seen whether The Friedkin Group offer the Glaswegian an extension β or if he would even opt to sign one β but nobody can deny the excellent job he has done in terms of settling Everton down after a few turbulent seasons.
