Sean Dyche delivers Murillo prognosis after Nottingham Forest star misses Leeds trip

There was a surprise omission from the Nottingham Forest team to play Leeds, with Murillo not named in the matchday squad.

Sean Dyche already had issues with Neco Williams missing this game through suspension after his red card against Crystal Palace.

The Reds have had to call upon Morato at centre-back and Zach Abbott at left-back, which has to be said is far from ideal.

Ahead of the game against Leeds, Dyche was quizzed on the prognosis with Murillo and it doesn’t sound overly positive.

Sean Dyche delivers Murillo update

It’s never nice to see top players miss out on games of this magnitude and Murillo is going to be a huge omission.

Dyche claimed that the Brazilian was injured in training yesterday and has already been sent for a scan on the problem.

He told Sky Sports: “He got injured yesterday after training, he reported something in his calf and he’s had a scan and there’s something there.

“It’s not drastic but we need to hope that it calms down pretty quickly and it just depends on how his body heals really.”

Forest need Murillo back quickly

Forest have a pretty drab record this season when it comes to missing Murillo from the starting eleven.

One game that sticks out is the 3-0 hammering at Everton when Morato was nothing short of abysmal in his absence.

Now, Forest will hope to get Murillo back on the pitch extremely quickly with a tough run of games coming at home and abroad.

Dyche will have plenty to ponder tonight, and now the injury sustained by Murillo is another thing to make the Forest head coach anxious.

Hopefully, Forest can come up with something tonight and ensure the Brazilian superstar isn’t missed too much.
