Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are all in the picture to sign Juventus’ Pierre Kalulu.
That’s what Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale is reporting. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on interest from the three. Newcastle United are the latest to join the mix.
On January 17th, we covered claims from Italy that Manchester United, Aston Villa and Tottenham are tussling for him. A fee of around €30m would be enough to convince the Serie A side to sanction a move in the summer.
Three days later, Tutto Juve reported Tottenham are fighting to get ahead of Aston Villa in the transfer race. Di Natale claims the Magpies have become the ‘new’ club to join the chase for the 25-year-old. Newcastle United, along with Tottenham and Aston Villa are showing ‘most interest’ in Kalulu.

The France international’s preferred role is in the heart of defence and he can also play as a right-back. He’s operated in these two positions this season, taking part in 33 matches.
Despite keen interest from England, the player’s desire is to continue at Juventus. He won the Serie A side with AC Milan during the 2021/22 season and left them for the Turin club in 2024.
He dreams of being the first Frenchman to win the Serie A with both Milan and Juventus. Di Natale adds the Turin club have no intention of parting ways with Kalulu. His contract expires in 2029, but the two parties haven’t started talks for an extension.
The possibility of Newcastle United, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Tottenham being dragged in to help Kalulu secure an improved deal can’t be ruled out.
