Manchester United are winning 1-0 against Tottenham Hotspur at half-time during their Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
It was Manchester United who started the game as the better side, with Bryan Mbeumo getting an early chance, but Tottenham Hotspur then took some control.
Michael Carrick’s team defended well and regained some momentum and then Cristian Romero produced a horrible challenge on Casemiro which earned him a red card.
Soon afterwards, a brilliant corner-kick routine saw Mbeumo open the scoring with a well-placed shot into the bottom corner, giving United the lead before the break against the 10 men.
The United player ratings so far can be read below.
United player ratings vs Spurs
Senne Lammens – 7/10
Done well to keep his eye on a flick from a cross, not dealt with much else.
Diogo Dalot – 8/10
Looking so much better recently as a fullback. One great run and pass almost led to a goal.
Harry Maguire – 7/10
Strong at the back in duels.
Lisandro Martínez – 7/10
An important interception in the box and brilliant on the ball.
Luke Shaw – 7/10
Solid so far.
Casemiro – 8.5/10
Almost scored an absolute screamer. Some good passes. Fortunately able to continue after being on the wrong end of a horror challenge. Winning everything.
Kobbie Mainoo – 8/10
A couple of sloppy moments but also some really bright touches with the ball, including the brilliant flick to assist Mbeumo. Working hard defensively too.
Amad – 8/10
Working tirelessly for the Reds. Set up a couple of good chances.
Bruno Fernandes – 8/10
So close to scoring on a couple of occasions. Looks sharp and took the smart corner for the opener.
Matheus Cunha – 7/10
Almost scored the goal of the season
Bryan Mbeumo – 8/10
An early chance smashed just wide of goal. Made no mistake from the corner routine to score his 10th of the season.
