Manchester United have forgotten how to drop points under Michael Carrick as a 2-0 win was comfortably secured over Spurs.
A fairly even start to the game was made lopsided when Cristian Romero saw red mist with a brutal tackle on Casemiro, leaving Man Utd with a man advantage.
Bryan Mbeumo made Spurs pay soon after with a brilliantly executed set-piece to set United on their way.
Michael Carrick’s men kept pushing for a second in the second half by committing players forward, eventually getting their insurance second goal via Fernandes to secure three points in a no-fuss manner.

Senne Lammens – 6
A small mistake early on when he was too eager to play sweeper-keeper but largely secure otherwise.
Diogo Dalot – 7.5
Kept Odobert and Simons at bay with diligence. Loving life as a traditional full-back.
Harry Maguire – 6.5
Relishing last-man defending in the box as the game simplifies for him, but looked in some trouble when Simons ran at him.
Lisandro Martinez – 7.5
His raking passes from deep are becoming a staple attacking pattern for Michael Carrick. Solid again.

Luke Shaw – 7
More willing to go forward than in recent weeks. Didn’t let it compromise his defensive game.
Casemiro – 7.5
Almost scored off a set-piece again. Defended with authority to continue his fine form.
Kobbie Mainoo – 9
The renaissance continued against Spurs as he grabbed his first assist of the season. He’s making some people look very foolish by taking a superstar leap in real-time.
Amad – 8
Never stops running, forward or backward. Almost the whole flank unto himself. Silky in attack.
Bruno Fernandes – 7
Loving life playing forward, as his combination play with his three attackers is a sight to behold.
Matheus Cunha – 7.5
Played in a fluid No 9/LW role and constantly popped up in dangerous positions to catch Spurs napping.
Bryan Mbeumo – 8
Scored again to continue his unstoppable form with a finely worked set-piece.
Substitutes
Benjamin Sesko – 7
Made a nuisance of himself and terrorised Spurs’ defenders even if he didn’t score this time.
Noussair Mazraoui – 6
Triple change late on. Calm and confident.
Manuel Ugarte – 6
Same as Mazraoui.
Joshua Zirkzee – 6
Part of the triple change with Mazraoui and Ugarte.
Tyler Fletcher – 6
Special day for him as he debuted in injury time.
