Manchester United made it four wins in a row in the Premier League for the first time in two years as they beat 10-man Tottenham 2-0 at Old Trafford.

It had been an even start to the game, but the balance shifted when Cristian Romero was shown a straight red card for a reckless tackle on Casemiro just before the half-hour mark.

United wasted little time in making their advantage count, with a clever corner routine seeing Bryan Mbeumo finish from 16 yards after Kobbie Mainoo had teed him up.

United toiled to press home the advantage but killed the game off when Bruno Fernandes produced a clever finish from Diogo Dalot's cross 10 minutes from the end.

**Senne Lammens:** One nervy moment with his feet in the first half but was barely troubled after that as Tottenham struggled to create with 10 men. **6**

**Diogo Dalot:** Decent effort on goal in the second half and bright in the first. Not always convincingly defensively in the second half but good cross for the second goal. **7**

**Harry Maguire:** Unsettled by Simons at one point early on, and didn't show the calmness that has been evident in his game in recent weeks. **6**

**Lisandro Martinez:** Got forward more than we've seen at times and passed it well, but one woeful touch in the second half was nearly costly. **6**

**Luke Shaw:** Stung the palms of Vicario with a second-half effort. Relatively untroubled defensively on what was his 25th successive start in the Premier League. **7**

**Casemiro:** Wasn't having his best game before being on the wrong end of Romero's tackle, but improved after that and was a goal threat again. **7**

**Kobbie Mainoo:** Lovely lay-off to Mbeumo for the opening goal and excelled in midfield again. Some clever link-up play with those in front of him and found space intelligently. **8**

**Amad:** Some lively runs in the first half but not quite at his best. Didn't get the chance to exploit space or create danger when United needed him to. **6**

**Bruno Fernandes:** Started well but felt like he began to push things a little too much as time went on, but classic Fernandes to produce a moment of class to calm the nerves late on. **7**

**Matheus Cunha:** Unlucky with a brilliant first-half effort. Some of his link-up play was excellent but faded a little after the break. **7**

**Bryan Mbeumo:** Took his goal really well, using placement rather than power to beat Vicario and thread a shot through a crowded penalty box. Movement very good. **8**

**Substitutes**

**Benjamin Sesko:** Put himself about but a heavy touch saw a chance go begging when it was 2-0. **6**

**Noussair Mazraoui:** Little time to make an impact. **6**

**Manuel Ugarte:** Little time to make an impact. **6**

**Joshua Zirkzee:** Little time to make an impact. **6**

**Tyler Fletcher:** Came on in stoppage time **6**

**Subs not used:** Bayindir, Yoro, Heaven, Malacia
