Kalvin Phillips was a sensation when he had his breakout season in the Premier League, going on to become an England regular before joining Manchester City. The Whites also parted ways with Raphinha, who went on to become a Balon d’Or contender.

The club have also churned out the likes of Leif Davis, Liam Cresswell and Joe Gelhardt. Not all of them had the chance to succeed in the first team, but they have found their paths elsewhere. The 49ers have a big future lined up for the club, and surviving the Premier League this season is their priority.
Leif Davis pulls out ‘Bielsa’ celebration after match winner
Leeds United recorded a huge win on Friday night, as they put a nine-point gap between themselves and West Ham in the relegation zone. Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jayden Bogle and Noah Okafor were enough to put away Sean Dyche’s team.
On Saturday, a former Leeds star was in the news, scoring the winner in a Championship game against Derby County. Leif Davis left his mark as Ipswich Town went away from home to grab a win against the Rams. The goal was good, but the defender pulled out a ‘Bielsa’ celebration which would no doubt infuriate the home fans – he held imaginary binoculars to his face, referencing the ‘Spy gate’ saga.
Derby and Leeds have had a mutual dislike of each other since that Championship play-off semifinals in 2019. Around that time saw the ‘Spygate’ controversy as Marcelo Bielsa was accused on spying and stealing tactics of opponents.

Derby fans will be happy to see the back of Leeds United
It has not been a great couple of months for Derby County fans; they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Leeds United, and now a former Leeds player has rubbed salt in their wounds.
The Whites have their own issues to focus on as they continue their charge towards Premier League survival. Daniel Farke’s men are away to Chelsea midweek, with the Blues keen to avenge their lost at Elland Road a couple of months ago.
