Lionesses head coach, Eder Maestre, faces Everton for the first time in his career also. The Spaniard spoke about what he expects from Everton in his recent Press Conference.
“We are completely blind (in preparing for the match against Everton). They are coming in with a new manager and their new signings are very good players.
“I don’t know if it’s going to be very disruptive for our game in the way that we play, let’s see but we need to be ready. We are going to consider the things that they did before (the new head coach) and thinking about other areas and situations and be confident in facing them.”
London City come into the game off a victory against Brighton away last weekend, and a narrow loss against Manchester City in their last home game.
“We need to improve our performance (from the win) and we need to be closer to the game that we offered against City and compare that with the game against Brighton. Hopefully we can improve the performance that we had against Brighton.
“Being more aggressive in the way we defend, trying to recover the goals as fast as we can. We want to have the ball in the opponents half, recover the ball to punish, something we saw against City.”
