Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves was all praise for youngster Kobbie Mainoo's performance in the 2-0 Premier League home win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday (February 7).

Hargreaves duly acknowledged Mainoo's contribution, sayng on TNT Sports (via Stretty News):

“I’ve never seen him have a bad game. I can’t believe how talented he is. He looks like he’s playing in the park with his mates.”

In 16 outings in the Premier League this season - starting four - Mainoo is yet to score but has delivered two assists, with his first coming in the 3-2 win at leaders Arsenal last month.

Manchester United interim boss Michael Carrick was understandably pleased with his side's effort in the Premier League win over 10-man Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Having played with a man more for over an hour, the Red Devils duly made their numerical superiority count as they kept alive their chances of a UEFA Champions League return.

"Had a few issues where I thought Tottenham played some really good football first half," Carrick told TNT Sport. "Going up against 10 men in the second half, I thought we managed it really well.

"Largely in control, always wanting the second goal to come along. When it did, that put is in a really good position. It was nice and it was nice to get players on the pitch, young Tyler coming on for his first game. All in all, it was really positive."

Fourth in the standings after 25 games, the Red Devils next take on West Ham United away in the Premier League on Tuesday (February 11).
