'Stern words': Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall shares what was said at half time to inspire Everton…

Everton have moved up to seventh spot in the Premier League table following their win on Saturday.

Whatever David Moyes said at half time certainly seemed to work as his side looked much-improved in the second half.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall shone for the Blues, with a goal and the cross for the winning goal to his name.

It was pretty clear that something had to change for Everton after what was a really poor opening 45 minutes.

The Toffees certainly improved in attack as the game went on to secure themselves three massive points.

Did anyone else aside from Dewsbury-Hall impress you? 🤔

Speaking to Everton’s website, Dewsbury-Hall shed some light on what was actually said in the dressing room.

“There were a couple of stern words at half-time, and again, like last week, we came out second half and were way better. We were the better team pushing,” he said.

“And yeah, thankfully, we got the two goals to get us the three points.

Dewsbury-Hall has urged Everton fans to support Tyrique George on the back of his signing earlier in the week.

The youngster certainly made an impact after he came on from the bench in what was a much better second 45 for the Toffees.

Everton fans inspired second half comeback

Although words were said at the break, the travelling support did not waver despite the first half not being up to scratch.

Roy Keane has hailed Everton’s support as the best around and that was evident at Craven Cottage.

During the same interview after the game, Dewsbury-Hall waxed lyrical about just how influential the support from those travelling fans is for the side.

“Amazing. They have been amazing this year. There wasn’t an empty seat. They were singing the whole game even when we were second-best,” he added.

“The scenes at full-time is why they travel and why it makes it so special when we can turn it around and get three points.”

Everton certainly did things the hard way, but all that matters is the three points at the end of the day.
