The 26-year-old Cameroon international was in the starting XI for Michael Carrick’s fourth consecutive Premier League match as Red Devils interim head coach.
Mbeumo, who has been a standout performer in the 2025-26 campaign, played 87 minutes at Old Trafford before he was withdrawn for United striker Joshua Zirkzee.
The ex-Brentford ace made a real impact in Man Utd’s 2-0 win over Tottenham, with Mbeumo opening the scoring in the first half of Saturday’s Premier League clash.

An unmarked Mbeumo made his way into the Tottenham box from a Man Utd corner and the ball was laid back to the Red Devils summer signing from Kobbie Mainoo.
The Cameroon international proceeded to stroke the bobbling ball into the bottom right corner of Guglielmo Vicario’s Tottenham net at Old Trafford.
“Not the best connection with the ball if I’m honest,” Dimitar Berbatov said, as per the Premier League’s official website.
“But it doesn’t matter because the ball is in the back of the net.”

The Red Devils caught Tottenham by surprise for the opener at Old Trafford, with Michael Carrick’s men pulling off a superbly executed set-piece on Saturday.
Bruno Fernandes played a low ball towards the Tottenham near post from a corner and Kobbie Mainoo darted forward before playing a first-time pass to Mbeumo.
Who was your Manchester United man of the match against Spurs?
Former Man Utd striker Berbatov insisted that Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes were both as “vital” to the Red Devils’ impact as Mbeumo’s finish from the corner kick.
“The people involved in these sorts of set-pieces are vital because they know the exact touches to set it up,” he added.
United will now return to Premier League action on Tuesday evening, with the Red Devils travelling to the London Stadium to face West Ham.
