David Moyes issues Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall verdict after Everton win vs Fulham

Everton beat Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage to boost their hopes of securing European football – and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall starred.

Everton came from behind once again to pick up points in the Premier League – and this time it was all three.

A Vitalii Mykolenko own goal saw Fulham take the lead. It was unfortunate because Jordan Pickford had produced a great save, only for the ball to just hit the Ukrainian, who had slid to make a block.

Did anyone else aside from Dewsbury-Hall impress you? 🤔

But as has been the case for a few games now, Everton showed heart to get back into the contest.

And it was Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who really got a hold of the game for Everton.

He scored his fifth of the season, before whipping in a great corner that Bernd Leno fumbled into his own net.

After the game, Moyes gave his thoughts about the Everton midfielder.

Dewsbury-Hall’s injury was extremely untimely when it happened.

He had been playing brilliantly, and while he was out Everton certainly missed him.

He just offers creative output, which is exactly what Everton need while they don’t have a clinical striker.

After the game, Moyes expressed his delight over Dewsbury-Hall, telling BBC Sport: “Absolutely he was (doing great with his goal contributions pre-injury). He was doing great, good goals for us. And look, he’s just coming back from a hamstring injury, and he’s still finding his way.

“But he’s finding his way in a good way for us. Because he’s getting goals and he’s playing very well.”

Dewsbury-Hall will be so key in Everton’s European push

Dewsbury-Hall has looked great since coming back from injury against Leeds recently.

He did miss a big chance against Brighton last weekend, but he still played an important role in that comeback.

What would be your message to Dewsbury-Hall after THAT performance! 👏

And against Fulham, he really stood up and was counted for.

It is invaluable to have a midfield player capable of scoring goals, and Dewsbury-Hall has shown this season what a threat he is.

If Everton are going to get European football this season, it will be so vital to keep Dewsbury-Hall fit and firing.
